Almost a Perfect Day

Yes, Obama won and that is fantastic. Unfortunately, Prop H8 looks like it will pass. So the haters have succeeded in taking our rights away. But we will continue our fight!...In the mean time..it is time to take care of my hang over and celebrate the history that was made yesterday.

NOOOOO!!!!....
I stopped by here first, because I haven't heard jack about prop 8 yet.
How can I live in a state that lets theocracy override democracy??
..This is unacceptable!!
The California Supreme Court MUST overturn this piece of crap homage to ignorance!

I stayed up way past midnight watching the LA stations....this morning they are saying they will not call 8 as of yet because it is too close....so maybe the courts will take it on if the narrow minded get their way this time.

it seems bigotry ruled the day in most of the so called "moral" issues across the country.

would prop 8 have turned out differently if obama had come out in favor of gay marriage rather than playing it safe?

I am suprised really.
I didn't think this would happen in California.

I would have never thought for this to have happen in CA! Well I'm still keeping my fingers crossed, since it is still too close to call...

Sigh. Bittersweet. But it's not over, right? They are still waiting to count all the absentee ballots, right? Let's keep the faith.

Miss J is very disaapointed in her fellow Californians. Though the people who voted yes on 8 are certainly NOT her "fellows". Shame on them all. It IS time to head back to court.

We may have lost the battle but we have not lost the war! We must fight, fight and fight. I'm calling for an Act-Up type of civil disobedience. Silence = No Civil Rights!!!

We won't stop on Prop 8. It knows it's not right. It's just that simple. It's not right.

But you know, it was also a humbling lesson. Given the right to vote, those rat bastards exercised it. And that's the deal. It shouldn't have been on the ballot in the first place, but I'll accept they had a right.

And now we'll get it right back off our Constitution. Because we have the right, too.

I am SO happy about Obama and SO sad about Prop 8.

I really believe in my heart that Prop 8 won't last, though...legal discrimination just can't last.

Still, I am sorry about it right now...

I am sorry about Prop 8. It is so fundamentally WRONG I can't believe it passed.

But I am so happy about Obama. Tuesday was one of the three greatest days in my life.

We just found out this morning that the Mormon Senator from Oregon, Gordon Smith, lost his seat to the Democratic challenger.

Small consolation but it's the least we could do to get back at the LDS for fucking with Prop. 8.

What they don't realize is we bitches will get what we want, we always do!

I pray that the legal challenges will overturn it.
