Random Things

I have a ton of stuff to catch up on, like my trip to the great Northwest.
But first, during Christmas break I did a little painting. My Kitchen is now a glorious orange. It makes me crave fruit.

My hometown of Centralia WA.is flooding, I picked the perfect time to go up and to leave, between snow storms and now flooding. My families houses are okay but a ton of people are being evacuated.

I got a new sports bra that is so comfy, it is like getting a boob hug all day.

My nephew's wedding had over 800 people...Who the heck has that many friends?

My niece's wedding is in March...I think they are expecting just as many people. I don't even have 100 facebook friends...I can't imagine having 800 people at my wedding.

I just ordered a Wii Fit. When I was at my sister's I really enjoyed watching the kids and her play on the balance board. I have had the Wii since it came out and the only game I play on it is the Sports game..But it is so fun..I didnt need any other games. So I hope I have as much fun with this. Here is a video of my sister doing the Hula on the fit..sorry it is dark..it is funny how the nephew is so into it.

We had an earthquake last night. My brother and my friend both felt it, I only heard it. Both brother and friend were sitting and eating pie. I think that the fact they were both eating pie they were in a more comfortable mood. This is why I believe they felt the earth shake and I didn't...I was only standing a few feet away. So I believe through my scientific calculations, Pie eaters are more susceptible to feeling earthquakes...I know this is very important data and I am sure the Lesbian Earthquake lady will probably be knocking on my door so she can validate my research.

Is it just Californians that know of the Lesbian Earthquake Lady? I admit 20 odd years ago when I first saw her on TV...tiny crush.

Maybe we can get a Lesbian Hurricane Lady over here on the right coast if we play our cards right.

Glad your family is safe!

What better than a boob hug from a new sportsbra? Reminds Miss J its time for a new one.

Happy New Year, Sageweb!

The kitchen is JUICY! I love it! I love the sink too, it's gorgeous!

I think pie eaters are more succeptible to a lot of things.

Em sent me a text of her uncle doing the hula hoop and I swear, I will never be able to look at him the same again!

Love the kitchen....reminds me of tangerines. Weddings & funerals....you have seen it all in a short time.

of course i am cheating because I lived in southern Cali for 54 years. I do know the Lesbian E/Q lady and saw her when the last E/Q hit down there on TV. You know what....she has gotten lovely looking in her older years. I remember just a few years ago she has longer hair and was downright dumpy. we still get the Cali TV feeds and i keep up with her. She is so damn bright and yes, scientific. i bet she could make something of that pie stuff...a chart or graph.

we're also getting lots of flooding too.

it seems that money is like water. some people have way too much and others really need more.

Your kitchen looks great. Love the colour and your glass collection and totally covet your fridge.

Your Lesbian Earthquake Lady reminds me of the Lesbian Professor taught me at Uni. I didn't have a crush as such but I totally envied and admired the way she was so comfortable in her own skin.

Love the kitchen - can I come over for coffee?

Glad the bra is comfy and huggy - I got new insight into bra construction from Patty at work this week. More than I probably ever thought I'd know about bras.

The Earthquake Lady rocks!

Damn just realized the kitchen is almost the same colour as that obi silk!!!!! Place mats?

I don't know about the lesbian earthquake lady, but I like her title. Does she answer to that? "Hey, Lesbian Earthquake Lady, what do you know about that quake we had the other day?"

Gorgeous kitchen!

Is it a good thing or a bad thing that pie eaters can feel earthquakes better? It's time to bake a pie. Past time, actually...

Floods, weddings, earthquakes and a cast of hundreds! Not to mention bras.

Lesbian earthquake, huh? Sounds kinda dirty really.

I'm glad you're safely home. Oh, the iPhone photo of Homer is great.

If I didn't know your sister was doing wii I'd think she was a lunatic! But it does look really fun. We don't have one yet. Maybe next year.

Also, what's the lesbian earthquake lady's name? I seriously think I went to high school with her! (Maybe I could hook you up....)

Elizabeth said...

I just read rosemary's comment and I DID go to high school with her! We weren't friends (she was ahead of me) but we were friendly acquaintances and had some good friends in common. Her brother Steve was a sweetie. Lucy was older and seemed a little more driven and businesslike and distant. This was in Taiwan, where there were LOTS of earthquakes, so maybe that's where she got her start. She had honey-blond hair half-way down her back in high school and was pretty much of a hippie. How fun!

I think your pie-eater/earthquake data is brilliant. Let me know if you want a collaborator on that project!

Oh, and while I'm here, I'm sooo sorry about your Grandmama. ((S))
