Wow it has been a while. Well Thanksgiving is done. I had a great weekend. I can't wait till Xmas..just cuz I get 2 weeks off. I hate going back to work after a few days off. I love my job, but it is so nice to be away from that desk. Let's see, I had a pretty busy weekend, I ran in the turkey trot on T-day, I went to my brother's house in ventura to eat his food that day too. We also went to a movie..Transporter 3...dumb. Friday I rode my bike 32 miles, Saturday I rode 20 miles and Sunday I was too sore to ride cuz I did gardening on Saturday and my back was killing me. But I still felt alright to go Lesbian Bowling later in the afternoon. I haven't bowled in years, it was real fun. I sucked. I made this video the other day while I was at the CSULB Basketball game. Yes, little things in life crack me the hell up..especially if someone's pants are unzipped.

KD Lang Teaser

I went to see Kd Lang this weekend. She was amazing. She has a beautiful effortless voice. I felt like getting naked several times but decided against it...they always like arresting people for that kind of stuff. Here is a little of her singing my favorite song.

Sage on Video with Christine O'Leary and Pinkberry

Last Tuesday in Hollywood there was a red carpet Gayla, benefitting the LGBT youth of LA. There were stars from LOGO, the L Word and other gay things. The most important star was Christine O'leary she is a comedienne from Connecticut/New York. I met her in June at Long Beach Pride and with the wonderful world of the internets we have kept in touch. Shannon from Long Beach Pride, and I drove up early to give Christine the proper pre-show torture. Christine rocked the house! After the show,comedienne Ian Harvie insisted we introduce Christine to Pinkberry yogurt. She totally had an orgasm. I am pretty sure the rest of Christine's visit in LA consisted of multiple visits back to indulge in the addictive frozen treat. Christine made a video of her first trip to Pinkberry. I am in it briefly...(seriously, I should be the star but whatever)

Don't Take a Deep Breathe and Lizzy the Lezzie

I went to the Prop 8 rally in Long Beach, we had a pretty good turnout..pretty mellow. I had to leave about an hour in to it because of the fires, the air quality was rapidly changing. Greg was there and he took some more pictures...we had to have been standing side by side but of course neither of us saw each other.







This picture was taken around 3 in the afternoon. It was a dark smoky sky all day. I was pretty much locked in the house. But this weird blue streak of sky showed up. I had my friend take this picture from Signal Hill. You can see the small break in the smoke.



This is a close up from my back yard. I figure we must have had a temporary ocean breeze...the blue sky was soon filled back up with smoke. But it gives you an idea of what you would be breathing if you were outside. My entire patio looks like it snowed...covered in ash. It is pretty awful for all the people who have lost their homes.

I'm a Lazy Protestor

I went down to the Long Beach protest against the passing of Prop 8 on Friday. I didn't feel like getting mixed in the crowd and walking from one end of town to the other. So I went to Hot Java got myself a coffee and cheered on the protestors as they made their way down Broadway.
Broadway is a straight friendly street in LB..there are a few gay bars scattered about, gay coffee shops...(hot Java) and nice eateries. During the protest some of the businesses came out and handed waters out to the walkers. A lot of people showed up and the police were absolutely awesome. They would close off the streets as the protestors came by. It was very organized. I think only a few people got arrested..but those people are usually asking for trouble. When the police are out there protecting you from traffic and being professional about it, don't push it. Honestly..I completely support this movement, but having a protest in a very Gay friendly neighborhood is like preaching to the choir. I think we need to spend more energy in front of the Mormon temple...like our LA gays did.

Almost a Perfect Day

Yes, Obama won and that is fantastic. Unfortunately, Prop H8 looks like it will pass. So the haters have succeeded in taking our rights away. But we will continue our fight!...In the mean time..it is time to take care of my hang over and celebrate the history that was made yesterday.

I went to the local Long Beach rally..it was full of loving people. Very peaceful rally, unlike the Yes on 8 gatherings that have been hateful and violent. I really want to thank all the people that are really pulling for this to fail. It means more than anything that straight people are on our side. Not only on our side but not scared to admit it. It makes me happy! Now go out and vote and let's keep our fingers crossed. I am getting drunk on election day.
