I stole this from someone on facebook, but it is so funny, I think everyone should have a peek:
In case you needed further proof that the human race is doomed by stupidity, here are some actual label instructions found on consumer goods.
On a Sears hairdryer: Do not use while sleeping.
On a bag of Fritos: You could be a winner! No purchase necessary. Details inside. (The shoplifter special.)
On a bar of Dial soap: Directions: Use like regular soap
On a Swanson frozen dinner: Serving suggestion: Defrost. (But it's just a suggestion.)
On Tesco's tiramisu dessert (printed on the bottom of box): Do not turn upside-down.
On Marks & Spencer bread pudding: Product will be hot after heating.
On packaging for a Rowenta iron: Do not iron clothes on body.
On Boot's children's cough medicine: Do not drive a car or operate machinery after taking this medication.
On Nytol sleep aid: Warning: May cause drowsiness.
On most brands of Christmas lights: For indoor or outdoor use only. (As opposed to what?)
On a Japanese food processor: Not to be used for the other use. (I gotta admit, I'm curious.)
On Sainsbury's peanuts: Warning: contains nuts.
On an American Airlines packet of peanuts: Instructions: Open packet, eat nuts.
On a child's Superman costume: Wearing of this garment does not enable you to fly.
On a Swedish chain saw: Do not attempt to stop chain with your hands or genitals.

Dealing with Death
The year is not even a month old and my family has had to say good-bye to my Grandma and now my Grandpa. At my Grandma’s funeral, he proclaimed how he no longer wanted to live, now that she was gone. Loving someone so much, that life just quits on you. It must be an amazing feeling to love someone so much. Grandpa Jasper only made it 18 days after his wife passed. I believe for him, that it was 18 days too long. He was the only Grandpa I really ever knew. He was my Grandma’s 7th husband and he stuck it out for 50 years with her. He wasn’t technically my real Grandpa, but he was my REAL Grandpa. My Dad’s birth father, I only met a few times. Grandpa Jasper was there for birthdays, holidays, baptisms, etc. He was a crazy old guy that loved getting into trouble. He was always getting yelled at by my Grandma, or my mother. My Mom once caught him in our living room throwing popcorn seeds in the fireplace and having my younger brothers try to catch them as they popped, in the crackling fire. He always made me giggle, cuz he just didn’t care who liked him. He would say what he wanted, he would usually get yelled after, but his expression never changed…he just carried on. I am happy he is now with Grandma, he had no desire to live without her. I have no more Grandparents now; they have all gone to a bigger party. I know my Grandma and Grandpa are looking down or up sipping a whisky and laughing right now.

Prayers For Bobby
This Saturday, Prayers for Bobby will be on Lifetime. I read the book and totally related to Bobby. The only difference is I made it out alive. There are plenty of gay youth who don't. If you know any bible thumpers who don't like the gays..have them watch this. I wish I had the balls to tell my parents to watch it..but I don't.
Here is the trailer.

Good-Riddance George Bush
This video wraps up the last 8 years of hell that we have had. Very well done.

Catching Up
It has been hot here the last few days. Not just warm...like 90F hot. Very strange...I should really watch that Al Gore movie.
Homer got a bath and pedicure today...he smells and looks very handsome.
I got the Wii fit and my brother and I are in a serious competition. Right now I am kicking his ass. I guess we will have fun with it until we get burned out and then go back to watching tv.
I am still going to the gym and riding, the Wii fit is just to add a little spice to the workout.
I haven't rode my bike to work since the New Year, I will tomorrow. It had been way too cold up to last week. Cold for me is not cold for people who live in cold weather. Bodies adapt, mine does not. When I was up in the pacific northwest, I was cold just looking out the windows.
Speaking of spice...Rachel Ray sells Olive Oil.

That stuff is expensive. It really looks strange seeing her face and Extra Virgin over it.
Do I really want to see her face in my kitchen everytime I reach for the oil?

Random Things
I have a ton of stuff to catch up on, like my trip to the great Northwest.
But first, during Christmas break I did a little painting. My Kitchen is now a glorious orange. It makes me crave fruit.

My hometown of Centralia WA.is flooding, I picked the perfect time to go up and to leave, between snow storms and now flooding. My families houses are okay but a ton of people are being evacuated.
I got a new sports bra that is so comfy, it is like getting a boob hug all day.
My nephew's wedding had over 800 people...Who the heck has that many friends?
My niece's wedding is in March...I think they are expecting just as many people. I don't even have 100 facebook friends...I can't imagine having 800 people at my wedding.
I just ordered a Wii Fit. When I was at my sister's I really enjoyed watching the kids and her play on the balance board. I have had the Wii since it came out and the only game I play on it is the Sports game..But it is so fun..I didnt need any other games. So I hope I have as much fun with this. Here is a video of my sister doing the Hula on the fit..sorry it is dark..it is funny how the nephew is so into it.
We had an earthquake last night. My brother and my friend both felt it, I only heard it. Both brother and friend were sitting and eating pie. I think that the fact they were both eating pie they were in a more comfortable mood. This is why I believe they felt the earth shake and I didn't...I was only standing a few feet away. So I believe through my scientific calculations, Pie eaters are more susceptible to feeling earthquakes...I know this is very important data and I am sure the Lesbian Earthquake lady will probably be knocking on my door so she can validate my research.

Is it just Californians that know of the Lesbian Earthquake Lady? I admit 20 odd years ago when I first saw her on TV...tiny crush.

Song Around the World "Stand By Me"
This is a really cool video, here is the info from the You Tube:
From the award-winning documentary, "Playing For Change: Peace Through Music", comes the first of many "songs around the world" being released independently. Featured is a cover of the Ben E. King classic by musicians around the world adding their part to the song as it travelled the globe. This and other songs such as "One Love" will be released as digital downloads soon; followed by the film soundtrack and DVD early next year.

Wedding, Funeral and Family
I hope everyone has had a great holiday. I have been off the grid for a while, finally have a few hours to catch up on some blogs and catch up on Email.
Tomorrow I fly to Portland to attend my nephews wedding in Vancouver. Then my stubborn grandma decided to kick the bucket so I get to attend a funeral. My most favorite and last grandma couldn't hold on one more week so I could see her alive one more time. She has given me great memories and a great spirit. I think if it wasn't for her I wouldn't have thought being a little different was okay. She was a completely quirky and wild Grandma. She married 7 times, the last marriage lasted over 50 years. She would wear mini skirts, high heels, and see-thru tops to family gatherings. She always had her black and white checkered travel bar that she brought with her everywhere. It was full of hard liquor and glasses, she would come into our house hug and kiss all of us kids, sit down, open her little travel bar, pour herself a stiff drink and start knitting. She was always knitting. She has about 46 grand children and all of us have an afghan that was knitted by her. She was the complete opposites of both my conservative parents so she was always fun to have around. I will miss her.
Okay off to go catch up on all the blobs out there. Happy New Year everyone!!
